I dream of dada

About

I Dream of Dada is a project of Bedlam Theatre for the upcoming production, “Come to Dada: Hope and Despair Assembled.” This dream blog is a forum where anyone can submit their dreams to be posted online, and see the show develop as we use this as the raw material to construct a play from, a new form of interactive playwriting. Check out the blog to see your own and others’ dreams (posted either anonymously or with first names attached, depending on what people are comfortable with), snippets of the script as it is written, video and audio of the cast developing the play, and other goodies as we mine the collective subconscious to find those moments of unadulterated hope and despair. Email your dreams to dreams@bedlamtheatre.org.*

“Come to Dada: Hope and Despair Assembled” is a project of Bedlam Theatre in which we use the dreams posted here, as well as other sources, and put together a sort of theatrical collage that may just exercise the collective unconscious. We’re using the Dada movement as inspiration and as a general framework, because sometimes, there’s just no sense like nonsense. Performances will be at Bedlam Theatre on the West Bank, from April 17 to May 3rd.

*by emailing dreams@bedlamtheatre.org, you agree to allow the artists at Bedlam Theatre to use the contents of your email, in whatever form, in the production, “Come to Dada: Hope and Despair Assembled.”
